3 Hong Kong, a telecommunication company in China has approved cryptocurrency payment. The service will only be offered to Hong Kong residents.
Customers can now pay for phone bills, products, and services online using specified cryptocurrencies, thanks to FTX US’s FTX Pay coin exchange service.
The company’s clients will be able to utilize certain cryptocurrencies for monthly fees, mobile device purchases, and value-added services as a result of the agreement.
“3 Hong Kong is pioneering a new digital world with the addition of virtual currency payments, as evidenced by the exciting collaboration with FTX US using FTX Pay. “said Kenny Koo, executive director and CEO of the company’s parent business, HTHKH.
“We are providing customers with new payment options in the metaverse.”
To access and use the feature, users must first create an FTX US account.
Depending on the cryptocurrency utilized and accompanying operational and compliance restrictions, the company estimates each crypto transaction to take 15 minutes to complete.
