Ankr Launches RaaS for zkSync Hyperchains

In collaboration with Matter Labs, Ankr, a provider of Web3 infrastructure, has introduced Rollup-as-a-Service (RaaS) functionality for zkSync Hyperchains constructed utilizing the ZK Stack.

A statement claims that Ankr is the first to offer this service, which makes it easier for developers to configure and deploy secure, scalable Layer 2 protocols that are independent of their decentralized applications.

June saw the release of the ZK Stack for constructing Hyperchains by zkSync developer Matter Labs.

This open-source modular framework enables the construction of sovereign ZK-powered chains. The objective is to establish an interconnected network of blockchains by utilizing zero-knowledge proofs that operate as Layer 2s concurrently with, or Layer 3s atop, the zkSync Era chain.

Ankr’s RaaS is now available to clients to create use case-specific blockchains; however, deploying Hyperchains is limited to a testnet environment.

Kev Silk, senior product manager at Ankr, stated, “Hyperchains from ZK Stack have the potential to become one of the most formidable rollup options available to developers.”

“The unique scalability and security attributes of Hyperchains, coupled with the effortless customization and deployment provided by Ankr’s Rollup as a Service, will establish it as a significant advancement for the entire Layer 2 domain.”

Marco Cora, SVP of Business and Operations at Matter Labs, added, “Ankr’s Rollup-as-a-Service will reduce development time for projects and enterprises seeking to deploy Hyperchains, allowing teams to concentrate on their unique use cases enabled by ZK Stack while accelerating time to market.”

GRVT, a hybrid cryptocurrency exchange, is scheduled to introduce the inaugural Hyperchain within the zkSync ecosystem in October.
