Ankr, WitnessChain Collaborate on AVS Projects

ANKR and WitnessChain have joined forces to advance innovation through collaborative projects like DePIN and AVS.

ANKR, a provider of cross-chain infrastructure, and WitnessChain, a proof system for decentralized networks, have established a partnership to promote innovation in the form of joint work on DePIN and AVS projects.

For the purpose of coordinating DePIN actions, WitnessChain acts as the EigenLayer AVS. Its function is to serve as a common ground where DePINs can agree on their physical state using methods such as proof of location and proof of bandwidth.

These proofs are essential for ensuring coverage and usage, helping with demand mapping, and directing DePIN hardware expansion. Better discoverability, economic stimulation, and access to critical financial resources are all possible outcomes of DePIN programs that use proof methods to validate location and bandwidth capacities.

The goals of WitnessChain and Ankr, who are both committed to providing DePIN networks with first-rate infrastructure resources, are highly congruent. In his role as AVS operator, they will oversee WitnessChain’s nodes and make sure everything runs smoothly and securely.

As a further precaution, WitnessChain is developing its own rollup Watchtower network—a decentralized physical network of staked Ethereum validators—to ensure that validators always validate rollup state promises. In their role as DePIN network auditors, they promote cooperation among DePINs, which helps build a more robust and trustworthy decentralized infrastructure.

At the same time, developers will have the opportunity to add an extra layer of security to their blockchain with WitnessChain watchtowers monitoring their Ankr rollup-as-a-service (RaaS).

Ankr provides EigenLayer with the infrastructure it needs to perform its critical functions, which include delivering Ethereum security to new Web3 protocols, without running into scaling problems. Ankr provides safe node operations, liquid staking solutions, and efficient scaling services to expedite the launch of new AVS projects.

To improve the network’s speed, stability, and efficiency, they recently added new partner providers to its Ultra Sound Infrastructure network, including Tencent Cloud, IoTex, Storj, Clover, Mind Heart Soul, and Ankr Labs.
