Anthropic Launches Chatbot To Rival ChatGPT, Google Bard

Anthropic, backed by Google introduces Claude 3, a powerful chatbot boasting superior performance over GPT-4 and Gemini Ultra.

Anthropic, an artificial intelligence company supported by Google, unveiled a new chatbot, Claude 3, on Monday. The company boasted that the generative artificial intelligence tool, which comes with a collection of AI models, is the most powerful and fastest available.

The instruments for this purpose are named Claude 3 Opus, Sonnet, and Haiku. It is noteworthy that this happened just a few days after Mistral released its chatbot, Le Chat Mistral.

Anthropic asserts that Claude 3 Opus outscored OpenAI’s premium version, GPT-4 and outperformed Google’s Gemini Ultra compared to the three artificial intelligence technologies.

Industry benchmark examinations determined this conclusion, assessing knowledge at the bachelor level, reasoning at the graduate level, and fundamental mathematics.

Additionally, Anthropic asserts that the new chatbot can summarize a maximum of 200,000 words. ChatGPT, on the other hand, only processes approximately 3,000 words at a time.

Comparing its new chatbot to GPT-4 Turbo, Mistral highlighted the fact that it is capable of understanding inquiries that comprise up to 20,000 words in English.

The team executed this in a way reminiscent of the previous move. The newly developed Anthropic chatbot, the first of its kind in generative artificial intelligence, allows users to upload photographs, charts, videos, papers, and other forms of unstructured data for analysis and answering questions.

Daniela and Dario Amodei, who previously worked as research executives for OpenAI, are providing multimodal help for the first time in the company’s history.

Opus, Sonnet, and Haiku are models that tend to be more compact in comparison. On top of that, they are more affordable. Haiku is still being written, while Sonnet and Opus will be available in 159 countries from their release.
