Avail Launches Avail DA, Unveils Unification Drop

Avail, a modular blockchain, has launched Avail DA on the mainnet to protect blockspace for other networks.

With the launch of Avail DA, its decentralized blockchain protecting blockspace for other networks on the mainnet, modular blockchain Avail (AVAIL) revealed its plan for the Unification Drop, distributing 600,000,000 tokens to the 354,605 community wallet addresses. The claims verification process is currently in progress and will continue until May 4th at 11:59 p.m. GMT.

The initiative’s main goal is to bring together different stakeholders, such as rollup users, builders, stakeholders, and technical educators, as well as those involved in governance activities. The airdrop’s purpose is to honor and thank those who are actively laying the foundation of the blockchain ecosystem by making it easier for them to do so.

As a result, the project intends to give 90,000,000 tokens to ecosystem developers who have made substantial contributions to GitHub repositories. We will distribute an additional 49,500,000 tokens to testnet contributors who have received incentives, such as those who have won the Light Client Light-off competition and received recognition on the Clash of Nodes testnet leaderboard.

Additionally, we will distribute 380,000,000 tokens to active rollup users and reserve 70,000,000 tokens for Polygon PoS stakers. Contributors from the community will also get 10,500,000 tokens.

Moreover, distribution of Avail OG non-fungible tokens (NFTs) will also be possible for the 10,000 wallets that contain them. To validate their claims, contributors must complete the claiming process as outlined on the Avail claim page.

By concentrating on finding solutions to data availability issues, Avail innovates rollup scalability

The modular blockchain provides a rollup infrastructure that the community as a whole can use. During its nearly four-year operation, the project became an entirely independent endeavor from its inception at Polygon Labs.

The project’s main goal is to solve the data availability issue by removing the barriers preventing rollup scaling. To efficiently expand rollups, Avail DA makes use of KZG commitments and data availability sampling.
Furthermore, Avail Nexus acts as a central hub, streamlining cross-chain processes and providing end users with a bridgeless cross-chain experience. By supporting different assets, Avail Fusion increases restaking capabilities and improves security overall.

In the heart of the Avail network, the project’s native token serves as a utility token, powering all of the previously described solutions and tying Web3 technologies together. It makes it easier to access Avail DA services, secures the unification layer through staking, and permits involvement in the governance process.
