Billy Markus Comments on Ferrari’s Crypto Car Sales

Billy Markus, co-founder and 2013 launcher of the primary meme coin DOGE, has taken to the social media X app to comment on the recent news that Ferrari will begin selling cars for cryptocurrencies.

He also stated that Dogecoin enthusiasts can purchase Ferraris using DOGE.

Billy Markus has commented on Ferrari’s recent decision to begin accepting cryptocurrencies, specifically BTC, XRP, and ETH, for its luxury automobiles in the United States, as reported by Reuters.

He appears skeptical about the ability of average cryptocurrency holders to purchase a vehicle in that price range.

Markus posted a screenshot of the Reuters article and remarked, “I guess they don’t know that all crypto people are broke.”

However, the good news for the Dogecoin army is that Billy believes Ferrari will also accept DOGE as payment for their vehicles, as they are already accepting cryptocurrencies through the BitPay crypto payment gateway.

BitPay is compatible with over a dozen cryptocurrencies, such as Bitcoin, Ethereum, XRP, Dogecoin, Shiba Inu, and others.

BitPay collaborates with many traditional producers and merchants, enabling consumers to use cryptocurrency to purchase Porshe sports cars and pay for vehicle rentals, logistics services, mortgages, and personal bank loans.

This is possible due to the partnership between BitPay and Method Financial that was announced earlier this year.

As previously reported, famous singer Taylor Swift has informed fans that they can now purchase tickets for her new Eras Tour film using digital currencies, thanks to BitPay.

Tickets for the film can be bought with SHIB, XRP, DOGE, BTC, and ETH, among other cryptocurrencies, at the AMC chain of movie theaters.

Even without BitPay, AMC has accepted DOGE and SHIB for a few years to allow customers to stream movies. BitPay converts cryptocurrencies, enabling its partners to receive fiat currency, which they still prefer over cryptocurrencies.
