Adalberto Palma Gómez, who was president of the CNBV from December 2018 to March 2020, is now an adviser to Binance. He is working with Minister Henrique Meirelles, who was president of the Brazilian Central Bank before Palma Gómez.
Binance, which has the most trades of any cryptocurrency exchange in the world, hired Adalberto Palma Gómez, the former president of Mexico’s Banking and Securities Commission (CNBV), as a global adviser.
Binance just made a global advisory board, and Gómez will be a part of it, the exchange told the Mexican newspaper Expansion on Wednesday.
Gómez will be president of the CNBV from December 2018 to March 2020. He was trained as a biochemical engineer but has worked in the financial sector for most of his career. After he left the Mexican Securities Commission, he joined the Cabinet for Economic Growth, which Mexican President Andrés Manuel López Obrador set up in 2020.
