What is ApeCoin (APE)

The ApeCoin DAO has released an ERC-20 token called APE, which acts as the APE ecosystem’s governance and utility token.

Token holders can make recommendations for the DAO’s Ecosystem Fund allocations, governance rules, initiatives, collaborations, and more, and can vote on them.

APE token holders can utilize a membership pass to gain access to games, services, and events across the APE ecosystem, in addition to the governance aspect.

APE is also used as a community incentive, allowing token holders to earn APE through ApeCoin DAO member-approved grants.

Finally, within the BAYC ecosystem, APE will be employed as the native currency for play to earn (P2E) platforms. APE can be purchased on digital asset exchanges such as Binance.US, but it will also be airdropped to current BAYC and Mutant Ape Yacht Club (MAYC) NFT holders.
