Immortals, a professional esports team based in the Great Lakes region and Bitstamp, the worlds oldest cryptocurrency exchange, have announced a three-year partnership in which Bitstamp will serve as a Founding Partner and Immortals’ Official Cryptocurrency Exchange.

About the partnership

Bitstamp and Immortals will collaborate on three fronts as part of the agreement, including future nonfungible tokens (NFT) for fans. Immortals will form a team of content creators to work as Bitstamp brand ambassadors and provide “interactive streams, original content, and exclusive giveaways that merge crypto and gaming.”

“Our partnership with Immortals is an extension of our mission to empower our customers by creating a more authentic experience between crypto and gaming,” said Bobby Zagotta, CEO of Bitstamp USA.

The Immortals and Bitstamp activations are intended to be both educational and interactive, allowing fans to learn more about crypto while also allowing them to explore and participate with the web3 area through events, content from popular creators, and community-driven prizes.

During the League of Legends World Championship, Bitstamp will support the Immortals. Every time Immortals draws first blood (gets the first kill in a match) during the championship, supporters will have a chance to win bitcoin.

The relationship is “particularly designed as both an educational opportunity for fans to learn more about crypto and to enable fans to explore and participate with the Web3 environment,” according to the Immortals.

“It’s a priority for us as an organization to show up for our community and bring them value through innovative partnerships like this one with Bitstamp, the longest-running crypto exchange in the world,” said Jordan Sherman, Immortals’ CEO. “This partnership will further enhance the Immortals fan experience with real, tangible benefits that connect the crypto and gaming worlds.”

After Guild Esports PLC, Bitstamp now has a second official partner for its Bitstamp Gaming platform.
