Cardano Hydra v0.12.0 Upgrade Boosts Performance

According to an update by Cardano developer Sebastian Nagel on X (previously Twitter), Cardano Hydra, the protocol’s premier layer-2 scaling solution, has been upgraded.

The Cardano Hydra v0.12.0 software was released last week. The details of Nagel’s release notes were tweeted along with a summary.

According to Nagel’s summary, the eagerly awaited upgrade is compatible with the Cardano Node v8.1.2 client and the newly launched Mithril protocol developed by Input Output Global (IOG).

On July 30, Cardano Hydra v0.12.0 was initially released on the mainnet. It is intended to revolutionize Cardano’s node synchronization procedures and make them more developer-friendly.

In addition to these features, the Hydra upgrade included code enhancements that improved the on-chain performance and security of Hydra.

With these swift and secure capabilities, Hydra is expected to reach several new benchmarks.

Contributors to the forthcoming cryptocurrency convention Rare Evo 2023, held in Denver, Colorado, from August 24 to 26, 2023, are anticipated to share additional information about its release.

Initially, Hydra had upgraded to version 0.11.0, which made the Layer-2 ledger entirely isomorphic to the Cardano Layer-1 ledger by adding support for timed transactions.

As with every other upgrade, the latest v0.12.0 upgrade may positively influence the price of ADA.

Immediately following the unveiling of Aiken, the programming language and toolkit for simplifying the development of smart contracts on the Cardano blockchain, the ADA price increased by 6%.

In the past 24 hours, which coincides with the publication of the upgrade, the price of ADA has increased by 1.51% to $0.2681.

After this week’s market rout, Cardano supporters may capitalize on the coin’s increased usability by purchasing more, helping to chart a much-needed recovery.
