Caroline Ellison Testifies on SBF's Presidency Aspiration

Caroline Ellison, SBF’s ex-girlfriend, revealed the infamous funding at FTX before its collapse in November 2022 during her testimony in court in New York on Tuesday, October 10.

In a federal courtroom in downtown Manhattan, Caroline Ellison testified that Bankman-Fried had aspirations to become president of the United States.

During their on-and-off three-year relationship, Caroline Ellison, who is 28 years old, stated that Sam Bankman-Fried confided in her about his aspirations of becoming the president as he believed he had a 5% chance.

She stated that he intended to make a significant impact in both business and politics.

Prior to the collapse of the FTX, it is no secret that SBF contributed substantial funds to political parties through the exchange.

Sam Bankman-Fried’s alleged illegal contributions and gifts to various entities, including political organizations, have been the subject of extensive discussion.

The prevalent belief is that these contributions were customer deposits, which the 31-year-old entrepreneur allegedly misappropriated for personal benefit.

The Judge granted permission to investigate FTX’s political contributions during the court ruling last month.

Yesterday, during her testimony, Ellison admitted that Sam Bankman-Fried forced her to perpetrate crimes.

She went on to say that SBF was well aware of the risks associated with Alameda but nonetheless chose to invest billions of dollars in customer funds in hazardous ventures.
