The Chainlink team stated in an email to Cointelegraph on Thursday that the integration with Avalanche is being done to help developers on the platform. Developers will be able to automate smart contract functions in a decentralized manner using Chainlink Keepers.

Chainlink VRF, on the other hand, will provide a random number generator (RNG) that may be utilized in a variety of decentralized apps (DApps) that require it.

The creator and CEO of Ava Labs, Emin Gün Sirer, believes that integration is a significant milestone for those developing in Avalanche. This will “simplify both the developer and user experiences,” according to Sirer. Apart from that, the Avalanche executive pointed out that this will boost DApp’s functionality and design. According to him,

“The Avalanche Community is full of tireless builders, and their ability to rapidly build and ship applications at scale just became even easier.”

Sergey Nazarov, a co-founder of Chainlink, also offered his thoughts on the new development. Developers would be able to create smart contract apps with end-to-end automation and apply a validated RNG to any application within the platform, according to him.

Chainlink released the second edition of its VRF feature in February. The Chainlink platform uses the function to generate random numbers and to offer cryptographic proof that the number was generated by combining block data and an oracle’s private key.

Chainlink also debuted its price feeds service on the Solana (SOL) blockchain earlier in June. This feature allows Solana platform developers to use the BTC/USD, ETH/USD, and USDC/USD price feeds in their apps.
