Cross the Ages Secures $3.5M in Latest Funding Round

Cross the Ages (CTA), a Web3 gaming project, has secured a $3.5 million equity round led by Animoca Brands.

Animoca Brands led a $3.5 million equity round for Cross the Ages (CTA), a Web3 gaming initiative. Nicolas Jeuffrain of Tenergie and Sebastien Borget of The Sandbox also participated in the fundraising.

Cross the Ages has now received $23.5 million in total, with the $3 million seed financing and the $9 million private round announced in 2022. Additionally, in February 2024, the business raised $5 million from the community and raised $3 million in a token pre-sale last year.

This news coincides with the token generation event for CTA, and the native token list for the game will be available on the cryptocurrency exchanges Bybit, KuCoin, GATE, and MEXC.

As it develops the Cross the AGes universe and ecosystem, the company intends to use the additional funds to speed up its growth activities.

According to reports, Cross the Ages has amassed over 400k downloads and 148k monthly active players since the launch of its virtual trading card game in March 2023.

In addition, the game has generated more than 3.5 million NFTs and sold over 35 million digital cards.

Sami Chlagou, CEO and co-founder of Cross The Ages, remarked on the news and expressed his happiness that Animoca Brands, a major force in the blockchain gaming sector, was the company’s primary investor in its initial equity round.

As per Chlagou, “This partnership is a sign of mutual support and faith in CTA’s gaming universe to grow the IP among Animoca brand ecosystems and partners.”

However, Yat Siu, the co-founder and executive chairman of Animoca Brands, emphasized the significant contribution that blockchain gaming is making to the spread of “true digital ownership to the masses.”

Cross the Ages, which allows users to live experiences in a virtual environment firmly based upon personal ownership, perfectly embodies the values of this movement.”
