Fender Partners With Meta To Launch Music Metaverse ‘Stratoverse’
The Stratoverse experience would avail users to find guitar chords in the creation of melody.

Fender has joined with Meta to launch the Fender Stratoverse music metaverse. It is one of two new virtual worlds introduced by Meta at the Cannes Lions 2022. The MINIverse metaverse, on the other hand, was created in collaboration with the BMW Group.

The Stratoverse is a musical journey in which participants explore a Stratocaster guitar-shaped island in search of guitar chords to create a melody. R/GA, Creative Shop, and Meta Horizon Worlds creators Ashley Briley, Matt Torres, and Sammy Nu of VRinReview collaborated on it.

On June 22, Fender and Meta unveiled the “Stratoverse” music metaverse for Horizon Worlds.

Users can explore the Stratocaster guitar-shaped metaverse island floating in the stratosphere, surrounded by clouds and other islands. The music metaverse has been described as an “extraordinary augmented reality/virtual reality music experience.”

Fender’s CMO, Evan Jones, stated:

“We could not be more pleased to have been invited by Meta to bring Fender into the metaverse for the first time. We are thrilled by the potential this technology has to allow Fender fans and creators to come together, play, and create across borders, cultures, and from any distance.”

Users will use Riff Maker to make music by searching for guitar chords represented by glittering colored guitar picks. Users begin their search for the Riff Maker at the headstock of the Stratocaster guitar-shaped island.

Furthermore, users can place guitar picks in one of the Riff Maker’s 18 places. They can also move the pick around and change it from a major to a minor chord. Fans will also find easter eggs in the Stratoverse, such as air guitar zones and four special golden picks.

However, the metaverse is only available to customers who own Meta Quest 2 headsets and live in the United States, Canada, or the United KiToorder to penetrate the NFT and metaverse worlds, Fender initially registered five NFT and metaverse-related trademarks in May. Furthermore, Fender entered the virtual market when Gibson filed NFT trademarks in April.

Spotify previously announced a collaboration with Roblox to develop the Spotify Island metaverse experience for fans and artists.
