Sky Mavis CEO Trung Nguyen emphasized the importance of partnering with GMonsters for Ronin’s long-term strategy.

Wednesday marked the debut of a new partnership between Sky Mavis, the developer of the NFT monster-battling game Axie Infinity, mobile game publisher MIXI, and Japan-based GMonsters.

This partnership aims to migrate titles from MIXI’s Fight League franchise to the Ronin blockchain.

GMonsters intends to release three Fight League titles on Ronin, beginning with Fight League Survivor, an arcade-style game. This quarter, a closed beta evaluation for Fight League Survivor is scheduled to commence.

The card battler Fight League Medallion and the role-playing game Fight League Missions are two additional impending games for the team.

The Fight League intellectual property is owned by MIXI, the publisher of the $10 billion-grossing mobile success Monster Strike.

According to a press release, MIXI “will provide comprehensive support to GMonsters, including planning, production, and supervision throughout the game development process.”

Ronin is a gaming-specific Ethereum scalability network initially introduced for Axie Infinity.

Subsequently, an expanding collection of third-party games has been integrated, including the recently trending Pixels, The Machines Arena, and Zoids Wild Arena.

CoinGecko data indicates that the value of RON, the native token of Ronin, has increased by 173% over the past year in recent months.

Significant cryptocurrency exchange Binance declared its intention to list RON on Monday. However, since then, the price of RON has declined; it is currently 7% lower on the week, with the last two days witnessing an even steeper decline.

Sky Mavis CEO’s Perspective on GMonsters

“By forming a partnership with GMonsters, we are collaborating with trailblazers with a similar enthusiasm for cutting-edge gaming.”

GMonsters’ demonstrated expertise in intellectual property and interactive entertainment, as evidenced by their successful titles such as Pokémon Medallion and collaborations with major industry players, and MIXI’s established presence in Japan, are crucial components of Ronin’s long-term strategy,” said Sky Mavis CEO Trung Nguyen in a press release.
