Google Assistant to Integrate Powerful AI Messaging Service Bard

Google Assistant will begin incorporating Google’s artificial intelligence (AI) messaging service, Bard, into its responses “soon,” according to a social media post from the development team on October 4.

The Nest Mini and Nest Hub are two Google Home devices that use Google Assistant as their artificial intelligence software. It is also compatible with Android smartphones and devices.

Bard is Google’s browser-based AI conversation program that competes with OpenAI’s ChatGPT. Bard is a more recent AI system, and it can accomplish many tasks that Google Assistant cannot.

It can, for instance, generate a cover letter for a resume, create computer code, compose an essay, answer complex questions about history or mathematics, and perform numerous other complex tasks based on user instructions.

In contrast, Google Assistant can only respond to the most basic queries. Google gave a presentation at its public event, Made by Google, on the same day it announced it on social media, describing the new upgrade.

According to a report by ZDNet, Google stated that Bard Assistant could access a user’s email with permission, allowing it to sift through the user’s inbox and report on its contents.

It will also be capable of vacation planning, document creation using Google Docs, and SMS text message composition. Additionally, the assistant will be able to receive images as input.

A user may, for instance, submit an image and request that Google Bard Assistant create a caption for it. Google did not provide an exact release date but stated that it is currently being tested.

Google has been aggressively releasing AI enhancements to contend with Microsoft and OpenAI. On May 10, Google Bard was released in designated countries.

It expanded Bard’s access to EU member states on July 14, despite the EU’s stringent AI regulations.

Despite these achievements, Bard still has some bugs to work out, as it was discovered in June that it occasionally recommends nonexistent hotels.
