Grayscale, a subsidiary of Digital Currency Group, would undertake a large marketing campaign on Amtrak, the largest supplier of intercity passenger rail transportation in the United States, according to a Tuesday report by Business Insider. It will cover the train journey from New York’s Penn Station to Union Station (Washington DC).

The three-month campaign was organized in collaboration with Remarkably, a London-based creative consultant, and Vested, a New York-based financial marketing and PR agency. Politicians and entrepreneurs are the target of the advertising campaign. It’s unclear how much the firm spent on such a large advertising campaign.

The firm is now battling to transform its flagship Grayscale Bitcoin Trust (GBTC) into a spot-based exchange-traded fund.

Sonnenshein hasn’t said if his business intended for its new advertising to particularly target workers of the US Securities and Exchange Commission.

He, on the other hand, believes it is “critical” to get Washington to talk about cryptocurrency now that numerous government departments are paying attention to it.

The firm intimated in late March that if the regulator rejected its high-stakes ETF conversion plan, it might take them to court.

Grayscale is no stranger to large-scale advertising efforts. Its “Drop Gold” commercial was a tremendous hit, fueling the notion that Bitcoin may one day replace the precious metal.
