The American rapper filed a trademark application for his Yeezus brand, which might provide a significant boost to the NFT industry. Kanye West has submitted 17 trademark applications, according to trademark attorney Josh Gerben. On Twitter, the lawyer stated:

“Kanye West has filed 17 new trademark applications around his YEEZUS name. The filings indicate an intent to launch YEEZUS-branded amusement parks, NFT’s, toys and more.”

The trademark application appears to have been filed on May 27 in West’s company’s name, Mascotte Holdings, Inc. The rapper applied for the Yeezus trademark under multiple categories in a patent and trademark application filed with the United States Patent and Trademark Office.

The category ‘Blockchain-based currencies and non-fungible tokens’ stands out among the apps. Amusement parks, physical and online retail outlets, cosmetics, and campaign buttons are among the other notable items and services. The rapper’s long-term goals are indicated by the inclusion of household items, toys, games, and sporting equipment on the list.

Kanye West’s NFT intentions could provide the crypto community a huge boost, as he intends to develop projects in the crypto token area. Many well-known figures have already jumped on the crypto bandwagon, but a Kanye West NFT was noticeably absent.

Many prominent names are joining the NFT and crypto frenzy, from fashion firms to consumer products, and influencers to sports celebrities.

As if that weren’t enough, even presidents like El Salvador’s Nayib Bukele are now big crypto influencers. On multiple occasions, the country purchased large amounts of Bitcoin in an official capacity.

In February, the NFT community was dealt a big setback when West announced his disinterest in the space. The rapper warned against asking him to undertake NFTs at the time. He wrote on Instagram, “My focus is on developing actual items in the real world, real food, real clothes, and real shelter.”
