Over Protocol Introduces Sybil Detection for User Rewards

Over Protocol has introduced a new “Sybil Detection” feature that rewards users based on their past activity.

Blockchain’s Layer 1 lightweight node protocol This week, Over Protocol announced the launch of “Sybil Detection,” a feature that allows users to receive incentives depending on their previous activity.

OverWallet and OverNode contributors will have access to airdrops once the “Sybil Detection” procedure concludes. Nethers’ non-fungible tokens (NFTs) will also grant users access to airdrops. Furthermore, the notification states that this is the final opportunity for people to participate, whether or not they have taken part in the previous two events.

Through the official Nethers Portal, participants in the Over Protocol ecosystem can confirm their eligibility for Nethers NFT claims and allocations.

On May 24 at 11:00 AM UTC, the current Nethers NFT public sale will conclude. Users on the Arbitrum blockchain can purchase NFTs for 0.05 ETH. If participants surpass the 20,000 maximum supply, each NFT will earn 500 OVER tokens.

However, if the 20,000 threshold is not met, participants’ OVER token allocation will be determined using the following formula: 10 million divided by the total number of NFTs sold.

OverWallet is an application for mobile wallets that connects users to OverProtocol. It currently has 5 million accounts and draws in close to 1 million people per day. Meanwhile, OverNode, a node client, specifically assists users in running OverProtocol nodes on their desktop computers. We will officially release OverNode in the early part of this year.

Over Protocol announced plans for the June Mainnet Launch

Over Protocol uses the “Ethanos” protocol, which validates only active accounts. This allows complete nodes to get rid of old data and run on less storage, which lowers storage requirements.

The Over Protocol allows users to run a node and become validators using their personal computers.

Over Protocol recently revealed that they have scheduled the mainnet launch for June. We made this decision after successfully completing two testnet phases, which attracted substantial interest and engagement from over 750,000 people worldwide.
