The message stated, “Together with MAUER, we are gathering donations for the Ukrainian citizens now suffering from the war.” To do so, the organization plans to sell 10,000 copies of the Wave for Ukraine asset, a Ukrainian flag #NFT.

A flagpole with a base and a waving Ukrainian flag make up the asset. It stands at a height of 25 meters in-game, and the flag reaches out approximately 8 meters. The asset would cost $100 per copy.

These flags would be available for purchase on the MAUER website. Due to the simple payment flow provided on MAUER’s website, payment for the flags can be made using both card and crypto.

“To ensure that our contributions have the greatest impact, all proceeds from this sale will be donated to a charity approved by MAUER’s Ukrainian employees.”

You’ll also help protect Ukraine in the #Metaverse by getting your own voxelized 3D Ukrainian flag asset to use in The Sandbox, in addition to completing a good deed,” the organization added.

Wave with Ukraine NFT

By the end of April, every wallet that purchases the original NFT on the MAUER website will receive the Wave with Ukraine NFT. Surprisingly, the Ukrainian government has also expressed interest in issuing NFTs to support the cause.

The special sculpture was made by Felipe Posada specifically to support the Ukrainian people, according to further information available on the MAUER website.

We will mint up to 43,287,512 editions – one for every Ukrainian citizen. 100% of the proceeds will go to Ukrainian charities. If you sell the piece, a 10% royalty fee will also go to the charity.

It’s worth noting that Ukraine has gotten a lot of help from the crypto community, which has contributed roughly $70 million to the war-torn country’s cause.
