UK’s Imperial College Collaborates with FluidAI

The 21st of August saw the announcement of a partnership between Imperial College London and the artificial intelligence (AI) startup FluidAI, with the goal of resolving issues in the digital asset market using emergent technologies.

UK will collaborate with FluidAI to enhance the “tokenized market” for institutions, trading platforms, and retail investors.

Particularly, according to FluidAI, the issue of liquidity aggregation in the cryptocurrency space is a high priority.

“Traditional Finance solutions tackling market aggregation use low-latency technology, so it’s very fast to deliver the best prices. In crypto, that doesn’t exist due to its cloud-based, decentralized nature.”

According to him, the use of AI helps to “eliminate latency through prediction,” which could assist platforms in providing “the best bid and ask prices on the market” to liquidity providers or exchanges.

Imperial College London is one of the most prestigious universities in the United Kingdom and is also home to the Centre for Cryptocurrency Research and Engineering, which conducts research and application work on cryptocurrencies and blockchain technology.

Slowly, the United Kingdom has been preparing for the penetration of AI-powered tools into its local industries.

The government announced on August 21 that it will invest $130 million in AI chips to establish an AI resource. This occurs at a time when many nations compete for resources to sustain and advance AI.

According to a recent report, nearly 20% of companies lack sufficient computing capacity to support AI.

In June, British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak announced that Google, OpenAI, and Anthropic had all agreed to grant the United Kingdom early access to their artificial intelligence models.
