Unlimited Robotics Raises $5M to Aid Hospitals with Robots

Unlimited Robotics has developed two-armed robots to assist in hospitals by performing routine tasks such as delivering food & guiding patients.

The company’s two-armed robots perform a variety of routine duties in the complex and constantly changing environments of hospitals, including delivering food and supplies, guiding patients and visitors, transporting PPE, and engaging in cognitive activities with older patients.

Lool Ventures, an early-stage Israeli venture capital firm, funded a $5 million seed round that Unlimited Robotics used to fund its mission to address urgent healthcare personnel shortages through the deployment of autonomous robotic solutions.

Wix CEO and co-founder Avishai Abrahami, as well as Fiverr CEO and co-founder Micha Kauffman, are among the additional investors.

The two biggest hospitals in Israel, Rabin Medical Center (Belinson) and Shamir Medical Center (Assaf Harofe), have previously adopted robotic solutions from Unlimited Robotics.

Gary, one of the company’s two-armed robots, is programmed to handle mundane but necessary tasks in healthcare facilities, including delivering food and supplies, guiding patients and visitors, carrying PPE, and engaging in cognitive activities with older patients.

“Our technology integrates all of the solutions on one device, so the hospital team can focus on patients while Gary handles all the repetitive, simple tasks,” CEO Guy Altagar said.

“Many solutions for people with disabilities, nurses, and doctors will be available around the clock with the help of this funding round, and healthcare organizations will benefit from our increased capabilities.”
