Unstoppable Domains Launches Secure MPC Wallet

Unstoppable Domains (UD) has partnered with Fireblocks to launch its first multi-party computation (MPC) wallet, enhancing security and control.

In an effort to give UD users complete control over their digital assets, Unstoppable Domains (UD), the Web3 domains issuer and digital identity provider, has partnered with Fireblocks, a provider of institutional-grade digital asset custody infrastructure, to introduce its first multi-party computation (MPC) wallet.

Over the past two years, MPC technology has become more and more popular as more cryptocurrency companies take steps to increase the security of user funds on their systems. By distributing the burden of managing private keys among several people, the system lowers the possibility of compromise.

Additionally, Unstoppable Domains thinks that since the MPC wallet allows minting domains right within the UD workflow, it will be easy to buy and maintain digital assets. Users can add the wallet throughout the transaction process at checkout, thanks to the wallet’s smooth integration.

The company’s news release to the media states that among other things, users may use the wallet for “domain transfers, messaging, updates to crypto records, and executing transactions across major blockchains, including Polygon, Ethereum, Bitcoin, Base, and Solana.”

“We want to bring the entire domain industry on-chain,” stated Matt Gould, founder and CEO of Unstoppable Domains, in a statement in response to the development.

To do that, we had to create a wallet that was user-friendly enough for the typical domain user. We can provide domain owners with improved protection, backup and recovery capabilities, and an easy-to-use interface thanks to MPC technology.

Users can remotely deactivate the Unstoppable Domanains wallet, among other features, to prevent illegal transactions in the event of a lost or stolen smartphone. They can also use a strong password to regain access.

“We are happy to have the Unstoppable Wallet built on Fireblocks’ enterprise-grade infrastructure, enabling maximum flexibility, the greatest levels of security, and ease of use,” said Michael Shaulov, CEO and co-founder of Fireblocks.
