Vitalik Buterin Sparks Speculation with Deleted XRP Praise

Steven Nerayoff, a former Ethereum advisor and prominent member of the XRP Army, recently tweeted a link to a blog post in which Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin praised XRP.

Nerayoff asserts that Buterin ‘secretly’ desires to join the XRP Army but is too shy to admit it publicly.

Notably, Nerayoff’s opinion derives from the fact that Buterin has since deleted his comment about XRP. However, remnants of the statement remain accessible to the public.

Nerayoff remarked, “It turns out Vitalik Buterin, aka CryptoJudas, secretly wants to be XRP, but he’s so shy he deleted his tweet, which is included in this article.”

Similarly, prominent XRP influencer Crypto Eri highlighted Buterin’s positive comments about XRP with the comment, “Not a surprise.”

In 2019, the Vice President of Research at Bitcoin mining company Riot Platforms, Pierre Rochard, took to Twitter (now X) to express his opinion on the ideal stablecoin and store of value.

Bitcoin exemplified these characteristics, emphasized Rochard, and represented the pinnacle of sound money.

However, Vitalik Buterin proposed an alternative in response to Rochard’s viewpoint. Buterin suggested that XRP may be a more suitable alternative.

Specifically, he stated that the XRP/XRP price chart would exhibit similar characteristics of sound money as Bitcoin.

In addition, he argued that XRP’s winning advantages lie in its institutional adoption and partnerships within the cryptocurrency industry, making it the more compelling choice.

“The chart for XRP/XRP would appear identical, so it is also a sound investment. However, institutional adoption and partnerships are present. So they are superior.”
