XRP Ledger Wallet Growth: 4.8 Million Milestone Achieved

According to data from the community-driven XRP analytics resource Rich-List.info, this is the case. The platform’s data confirms that the XRP Ledger (XRPL) now has 4,812,859 wallets, a significant increase over the past 12 days.

As previously reported, the XRPL recently reached the 4.8 million wallets milestone. On October 4, twelve years after its founding, the network surpassed the coveted threshold. Since then, the number of hosted wallets has steadily increased.

At the time of the report, there were 4,801,222 wallets on the XRPL. The current total of 4,812,859 represents an increase of 11,637 over the previous 12 days.

On a broader scale, the XRPL has accepted more than 291K wallets this year. The network started the year with 4.52 million users. Ten months later, this number has risen to its current level of 4,821 million.

The Historic Wallet Count chart reveals a steady increase since January 1, followed by a sharp decline in mid-June. This decline was caused by the removal of over 85,000 wallets from the cryptocurrency exchange Poloniex.

The Santiment platform for analyzing crypto behavior confirms this steady growth rate. Since the beginning of October, the Santiment Network Growth (XRP) chart indicates that XRP has averaged 1,400 new daily wallets.

The current daily average metric is comparable to the rate on the XRP network in October of last year, although the XRPL experienced a massive 2,773 increase on October 6, 2022.

Interestingly, XRP was trading within the same $0.48 to $0.52 price range.

This month’s daily average of 1,400 is marginally higher than last month’s average of 1,100. However, the network experienced three notable spikes from September 18 to September 20 as XRP fought to surpass the $0.52 price threshold, with an increase of 1,972 new addresses on September 19.

However, this year’s most significant daily address increase occurred on July 13, when XRP’s price rose to $0.93 due to the favorable verdict in the Ripple case.

That day, 5,948 XRP were added to the XRP Ledger as network participants sought to capitalize on the ongoing rally. The network has observed 211 new addresses so far today.
