Tevaera Secures $5M Funding for Web3 Gaming Platform

Tevaera, a web3 gaming platform, secured a $5 million funding round led by Laser Digital, with several other investors participating.

Laser Digital, a digital asset business of Nomura Group, led the $5 million funding round for Tevaera.

Hashkey Capital, Fenbushi Capital, Faculty Group, Crypto.com Capital, Cogitent Ventures, Selini Capital, DWF Labs, Morningstar Ventures, DCF God, Momentum6, GBV Capital, Mapleblock Capital, GD10 Capital, Aquanow, Coinswitch, and others were some of the other investors that took part in the fundraising.

A “one-stop platform for gamers and developers” is in the works, according to the company’s announcement on its updated website.

By focusing on game IP first, Tevaera is able to detect and fix issues with the web3 gaming infrastructure. The business developed the platform over two years and celebrated by releasing its first Web3 game, “Teva Run,” last year.

According to a blog post by the firm on Wednesday, the Tevarea gaming ecosystem has experienced fast growth since then, drawing in over 850,000 soulbound gamers from over 100 countries.

The game is powered by Teva Market, the platform’s all-inclusive gaming marketplace, and Guardian NFTs.

“Supporting Tevaera in its journey to unlock the next era of web3 games through a comprehensive, one-stop platform is an exciting opportunity,” stated Jez Mohideen, CEO of Laser Digital, Nomura Group, commenting on his company’s major role in the fundraising. We have faith that ZK and on-chain-powered gaming will benefit from this strategic investment.

Tevaera co-founders Robin Babu and Gav Negi remarked, “This funding not only validates our vision but also empowers us to set a new industry standard for building, launching, and playing multi-genre web3 games.” They went on to praise the community’s and partners’ overwhelming support.

With the increased funding, Tevaera will create two additional games, allowing it to broaden its gaming ecosystem. The company’s decentralized layer-3 chain on zkSync is facilitating the development of permissionless Web3 gaming.
