Binance Liquid Swap Will Discontinue Selected Liquidity Pools

Binance Liquid Swap will be removing liquidity pools; affected pools include ATOM/BUSD, AVAX/BUSD, ETC/BUSD, JOE/USDT, KSM/BTC, OOKI/USDT, STG/USDT, and SUI/BTC.

Users with positions in these pools will have their assets automatically returned to their spot wallet on September 29, 2023, at the specified time.

It’s important to note that this removal will not impact the trading of corresponding pairs on Binance Spot, where applicable.

Regarding the transition details, starting from September 26, 2023, at 06:00 (UTC), users will no longer have the option to add liquidity to these pools.

Users with assets in these liquidity pools can choose to redeem them before September 29, 2023, at 04:00 (UTC).

After this deadline, deposits in these pools will be automatically redeemed to the user’s Spot wallets based on the prevailing composition ratios.

Binance Liquid Swap uses liquidity pools consisting of two tokens each, and the relative token amounts determine the price between them.

These pools enable trading as long as the corresponding tokens are available, offering stable prices and lower fees, which are especially advantageous for substantial transactions.

In a liquidity pool, participants provide tokens they already own, allowing for lower-cost trading between different cryptocurrencies compared to centralized exchanges.
