Brad Garlinghouse Gets XRP Victory Tattoo at New York Celebration

The CEO of Ripple, Brad Garlinghouse, received an XRP victory tattoo at the New York Celebratory Celebration but made no significant announcements.

As the Ripple and XRP communities converged in New York City on Friday night to celebrate the XRP victory ruling, Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse took to the X platform to clarify the air.

A few hours before the start of the celebration, Garlinghouse briefed the eager XRP community on what to anticipate at the event.

Specifically, he clarified that there would be no “major” announcements at the gathering, contrary to widespread rumors in the community.

Garlinghouse stated that the purpose of the affair was to celebrate XRP’s victory over the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).

“As for any “announcement” that people are speculating about, tonight’s event is merely a celebration,” the CEO of Ripple stated.

Meanwhile, Garlinghouse unveiled another surprise package for the XRP community. He revealed one of his most recent initiatives to commemorate the significance of the XRP victory.

Specifically, Garlinghouse tattooed the XRP logo on his right hand. Interestingly, it was not simply an XRP inscription on his arm.

A closer inspection of his uploaded image revealed that the XRP tattoo included the date the United States court ruled that XRP was not a security. The date was “07-13-2023.”

Garlinghouse’s actions elicited enormous responses from the XRP community and beyond. David Schwartz, the Chief Technology Officer of Ripple, conveyed delight at the sight.

Schwartz stated that, but for certain circumstances, he would have received a similar tattoo.

A well-known pro-Bitcoin X user commented sarcastically, “I like this one. XRP is the finest coin currently.”

In the meantime, some members of the XRP community believe the tattoo contains hidden messages beyond the apparent.

An X account with the alias “UtilityFTW” argued that the inscription proves that Ripple is not abandoning XRP in favor of other digital assets in its payment products.
