The Big Four accounting firm Deloitte, which primarily provides audit, consulting, financial advisory, risk advisory, tax, and legal services, is actively seeking cryptocurrency experts to join their team, according to the most recent LinkedIn updates.
A LinkedIn search for cryptocurrency job openings in the United States reveals that Deloitte currently has over 300 available positions, almost all of which were posted within the past week.
A similar search for crypto-related job openings at the other three “Big Four” accounting firms, namely Ernst & Young, KPMG, and PricewaterhouseCoopers, returns no results.
Deloitte has a variety of cryptocurrency-related employment titles, including Blockchain and Digital Assets Manager, in 97 different locations across the United States.
Other job titles include Tax Manager, Blockchain & Cryptocurrency in 18 U.S. locations and Tax Manager, Blockchain & Cryptocurrency in NFTs in 3 U.S. locations.
The responsibilities of the Blockchain & Digital Assets Manager include financial statement audits, internal controls specific to blockchain and digital assets, audit readiness for blockchain and digital asset transactions, IPO readiness and SEC reporting services, SPAC transactions, and accounting advisory services for digital asset transactions.
Applicants for the position of Tax Manager will oversee teams that provide tax advisory and compliance services to a diverse clientele, including those in the cryptocurrency and blockchain industries.
Among the responsibilities are leading customers in structuring legal entities and analyzing tokens and transactions.
This comes as Deloitte indicates its sustained interest in Web3 and cryptocurrencies. Deloitte announced a partnership with Vatom, a Web3 platform, to provide immersive experiences to various industries at the end of February.
This partnership presents several opportunities for companies seeking to improve culture through the use of virtual reality as well as for brands seeking to increase community engagement.
In January, Circle reportedly engaged Deloitte to audit its proof-of-reserves.
Currently, LinkedIn has received over a thousand applications from various locations for the available positions.
There are multiple cross-postings on Deloitte’s website, and it is currently unknown whether these positions have been advertised previously.
