SingleInterface Raises $30M to Boost Global Growth

SingleInterface has secured $30 million in its first external fundraising round to expand globally and enhance its products.

Singaporean software as a service (SaaS) startup SingleInterface has raised $30 million in its first external fundraising round. The money will go toward expanding the company’s global footprint and improving products so they are more appealing to global brands. SingleInterface helps offline businesses increase their revenue by leveraging the web.

Companies in the United States, Asia, and Europe still rely heavily on brick-and-mortar locations, but they’ve also begun to use internet marketing to reach a wider audience and generate more money. This is largely due to the exponential growth of internet users around the world. The International Telecommunication Union estimates that 5.4 billion individuals, or over 67% of the global population, are online. This indicates a 4.7% increase since 2022. On the other hand, according to the UN agency, the number of people living offline decreased gradually and reached 2.6 billion in 2023.

However, it is difficult to find a comprehensive solution for going online. Some may assist companies in developing a website, while others may merely aid in increasing their visibility in search engine results. In a similar vein, certain solutions are sector-specific. Multi-location businesses in the food and beverage, retail, and automotive industries can all benefit from SingleInterface’s suite of technologies, which solves this challenge.

The startup assists more than 400 brands with multiple locations in India, Southeast Asia, and the Middle East with managing their online presence in relation to their brick-and-mortar stores. It gives businesses the tools they need to construct websites with SEO management, manage feedback and web reviews, increase discovery through search engines and mapping listings, and drive consumer engagement online. It also gives insights for each business location. Using AI, the startup simplifies the process of digitizing thousands of stores simultaneously for businesses.

According to SingleInterface’s co-founder and CEO, Tarun Sobhani, the startup’s products help firms increase their profits by 15-20%.

Because it is never easy to come up with thousands of marketing tactics for thousands of stores, enabling them at the storefront level becomes a highly laborious chore for a company. According to his interview, “that’s where the whole AI automation piece comes in,” meaning it allows for a greater marketing ROI for each business.

Businesses may use SingleInterface to build in-depth store-level websites, host location-specific events and promotions, and facilitate two-way communication via platforms like WhatsApp, Facebook, and Google Business Messages. The business also assists brands with multiple locations in determining why some of their outlets have low ratings and others have high ones. It also facilitates online marketing optimization based on local rivals, market dynamics, and various business hours across multiple locations, all from a central location.

Some of SingleInterface’s current clients include well-known brands like KFC and Pizza Hut, as well as smaller businesses owned by larger Indian conglomerates such as Tata, Reliance, Aditya Birla, and Bajaj. Other clients include Apollo Tyres, Nissan, KFC, HDFC Bank, and TVS Motors. It is also planning to expand in the Middle East, Japan, and Korea in the near future, in addition to increasing its presence in Australia and Southeast Asia.

Asia Partners, a growth investment firm based in Singapore, spearheaded the all-equity round, with PayPal Ventures among its participants. Sobhani informed the media that the business intends to expand its geographic reach, significantly invest in its goods, and improve the consumer experience with the new money.

The next round occurred prior to the bootstrapping of SingleInterface. In 2015, Sobhani co-launched the startup with Harish Bahl, who created Smile Group, a venture-building and consumer internet investor. But according to Sobhani, the company didn’t begin selling its tools to the public until 2017.

SingleInterface currently employs over 235 individuals, the majority of whom are located in India, at its development facility in New Delhi. According to Sobhani, the firm intends to expand its footprint in the Asia-Pacific region by hiring a large number of workers.

Tarun, Harish, and the rest of the team have our utmost admiration and support as they pursue their expansion plans in India and beyond. In a prepared statement, Oliver Rippel, co-founder of Asia Partners, praised SingleInterface for its impressive history of facilitating customer engagement and commerce for large enterprises. The company has solidified its position as a leading player in the region, seamlessly blending offline and online customer journeys to fuel growth for brick-and-mortar stores.
