XRPL Welcomes Key NFT Amendment on Mainnet

The XRPL mainnet recently activated the fixNFTokenReserve amendment, enhancing the blockchain’s functionality.

The XRP Ledger (XRPL) mainnet has activated a new amendment known as fixNFTokenReserve, marking a significant historical milestone for the decentralized public blockchain.

fixNFTokenReserve Scales Through

The dominant XRPL explorer XRPScan confirmed the activation of the amendment at about 12:21 UTC on April 12. The release of the software was version 2.1.0.

FixNFTokenReserve, like other proposals on the XRP Ledger required the support of at least 28 validators to meet the acceptance threshold of 28/35.

Following the conclusion of the voting period, the fixNFTokenReserve proposal was met with 29 “yes” and only 6 “nays,” which resulted in the change being put up for adoption.

As stated by XRPScan, “this amendment includes the addition of a check to the NFTokenAcceptOffer transactor to determine whether or not the OwnerCount becomes different.”

In the event that it does, it performs an additional check to ensure that the reserve requirement is satisfied for the recent owner count. The fact that the fixNFTokenReserve change is just one of several planned amendments on the XRPL mainnet is particularly noteworthy.

We anticipate holding a voting session for numerous further amendments over the next few weeks. Following the implementation of a previous modification, the fixAMMOverflowOffer went live on the mainnet, and the launch of fixNFTokenReserve has taken place.

Near the conclusion of the first quarter of 2024, XRPL made a veiled reference to the impending implementation of the fixAMMOverflowOffer amendment on the AMM engine.

Dynamic XRPL Ledger Amendment Features

The purpose of this update, which is considered to be among the most significant components of the XRP Ledger, is to rectify the inefficient management of big synthetic AMM offers within the payment engine.

It was a challenging procedure to pass the amendment. The fixAMMOverflowOffer proposal initially received a total of 20 votes in favor and 15 votes against, which was a lower tally than what was required to reach a consensus.

Additionally, the majority of its supporters retracted their votes, causing the clock to reset to 14 days and repeating the voting procedure.

However, in a surprising turn of events, the fixAMMOverflowOffer has eventually passed and is currently live on the mainnet. The swift release of the fixNFTokenReserve showcases the dynamic nature of the blockchain, and we anticipate the implementation of further upgrades in the future.
