Andrew Tate Wins Court Battle to Reclaim $10 Million, Including 21 Bitcoins

Andrew Tate, who self-identifies as a misogynist and is suspected of trafficking human beings, has won a minor court case in Romania, thereby gaining the ability to reclaim $10 million in assets, which includes 21 bitcoins that were seized by authorities a year ago.

Documents from the Bucharest Court of Appeals confirmed on Monday that Tate’s request to reevaluate the seizures, conducted in January and February 2023, had been granted. A request made previously was denied.

The court is obligated to render a fresh determination regarding the $10 million in assets, comprising luxury automobiles, real estate, and designer timepieces, in light of this most recent ruling.

The seized assets comprise 21 bitcoins, the joint property of Tate and his sibling, Tristan.

The two individuals are charged, along with two Romanian women, with human trafficking, rape, and organizing a criminal organization that exploits women sexually. The four deny the charges vehemently.

Since February 2023, when authorities seized 21 bitcoins, their value has nearly doubled. As the value of Bitcoin has increased significantly in recent months, the seized digital assets have appreciated by 88% as of the time of writing, from $560,000 to $980,000.

Should Tate’s attorneys prevail in their appeal, the authorities will have essentially served as a fortress to store the value of his bitcoin as it increased in value.

As a court trial continues, the influencer remains free but confined within Romania, receiving periodic police visits.
