Solana Anza issued recommended congestion remedies in version 1.18.11 on a development network and encouraged testnet validators to install and analyze their usefulness.

Recently, Solana has been experiencing substantial congestion due to spam transactions. Such congestion has resulted in slower transaction processing and higher transaction drop rates, affecting the overall user experience.

Another item to consider is Solana’s unique architecture, which processes transactions directly without using a mempool. The developers are working on numerous solutions to address the issue. Anza earlier indicated that it was working on remedies for specific concerns with the network’s QUIC implementation.

Phantom, Solana’s most popular wallet, reported that transaction success rates had already risen significantly ahead of the patch. According to the project’s data, transactions were completed about 90% of the time, representing a nearly fivefold increase from a week before.
