Paris Olympics to Use AI-Based Security Surveillance

France is testing the use of AI-powered security cameras in the upcoming Paris Olympics Games in Paris in order to Maximize security.

A story from The Telegraph reported that a controversial camera powered by artificial intelligence will be used at the upcoming Paris Olympic Games to detect up to eight disturbances during the athletic competition.

The French police have decided to test the surveillance cameras at two performances by Depeche Mode in the Paris Olympics scheduled to take place this week.

This is in preparation for the actual functionality of the cameras. Attendees at the Depeche Mode concerts at the Paris Olympics scheduled for both Sunday and Tuesday will serve as test subjects for evaluating the camera.

Six cameras at Accor Arena are now powered by this type of artificial intelligence. They evaluate how well they can watch the movements of the audience and identify suspicious movements while stationed either inside or outside of the arena at the Paris Olympics.

In Paris, there is a rule that allows for the use of artificial intelligence in sporting and recreational activities; hence, there is now no breach of rules.

The tragic incident at the 2022 Champions League Final match between Liverpool and Real Madrid at the Stade de France prompted the creation of a law aimed at preventing similar occurrences.

Some spectators struggled to escape the mob, resulting in them being pepper-sprayed. Several industries are steadily utilizing the capabilities of artificial intelligence, as evidenced by the potential use of controversial surveillance cameras.

The cutting-edge technology is gradually finding applications in specialized fields, such as the United States military, which has recently decided to develop software based on artificial intelligence to locate targets in conflict zones.

In addition to the security sector, such as the French police, artificial intelligence is also gaining a foothold in the blockchain ecosystem, the entertainment sector, and several other sectors.

Tyler Perry, the well-known actor and film producer, halted the development of an $800 million movie studio in February. Perry discovered that the new tool Sora AI from OpenAI could generate videos based on textual descriptions.

In the future, there will undoubtedly be an increase in the number of use cases for the expanding technology, and several tech giants, such as NVIDIA and Microsoft, are positioning themselves to ride the wave in artificial intelligence.
