Team Liquid partners with Mysten Labs for loyalty program

Team Liquid, a key player in eSports, has partnered with blockchain creators Mysten Labs to revive its loyalty program on the Sui blockchain.

A major player in the eSports industry, Team Liquid, has established a relationship with Sui blockchain creators Mysten Labs. To reintroduce its loyalty program on Sui, Team Liquid will team up with Mysten Labs to offer fans new perks and experiences.

“True devotion to a cause takes time to develop. It requires care and maintenance in the form of events that cement the bond between team and supporter. Claire Hungate, President and COO of Team Liquid, made a statement stating that the team’s cooperation with Mysten Labs and adoption of Sui demonstrate their commitment to innovation and their history as a trailblazer in the esports world.

Hungate claims that his organization can engage with teams and fans more deeply through the agreement by offering exclusive prizes and new experiences.

As part of the multi-year collaboration, Mysten will introduce a fan loyalty program for Team Liquid, wherein supporters may design their own avatars inspired by Blue, the mascot of the eSports franchise. Digital things can be collected by them and utilized to unlock additional fan incentives and experiences.

Team Liquid and Mysten Labs are planning to work together on marketing campaigns that will support Sui platform games through content creation, events, sponsored streams, and more.

With teams competing in top eSports titles including Counter-Strike (CS2), League of Legends (LOL), and VALORANT, Team Liquid has developed from its 2000 inception to become a prominent eSports franchise.

Following the selection of the Sui blockchain by Korean entertainment behemoth NHN Corp for its Web3 gaming project, this collaboration further extends Mysten Labs’ reach into the eSports world.

With a $300 million round of funding, Mysten Labs was established in September 2023 by executives who had previously worked for Meta Platforms. As part of its venture into Web3 gaming, Korean video game developer NCSoft invested $15 million in the company and took part in the fundraising.
