TV Asahi Group and Extra Mile have teamed up to launch a Web3 accelerator program focusing on blockchain games and providing support.
Tokyo’s TV Asahi Group has partnered with Extra Mile, a Japanese mobile and blockchain gaming business, to introduce a Web3 accelerator program focused on blockchain games.
Together, the two businesses will provide community marketing, token support, publication, and incubation for Web3 game developers.
The TV Asahi company has also extended the invitation to other industry participants interested in joining, including investors, IP holders, and blockchain service providers, according to the press materials released to the media on Thursday.
As part of the incubation package, TV Asahi intends to link Web3 game creators with licensors and anime production committees that possess intellectual property (IP) for music, video, and other multimedia. TV Asahi will provide additional post-launch support through mentorship and consulting services.
The firms stated in a press statement that “one of the biggest obstacles game developers face is negotiating IP rights because it’s a costly and complicated domain that falls outside of their area of expertise.”
TV Asahi not only asserts that post-launch support enhances the chances of success for incubated companies, but also strives to streamline this process. This will increase the likelihood that the game will draw players from major target markets and geographical areas, including both Web3 and traditional gamers.
The initiative will help a limited number of gaming projects through every phase of development, from research and ideation to alpha and beta releases. It will also assist with the design of a game token and the integration of NFTs.
The company released a statement announcing the impending debut of Neobred, an NFT horse racing and breeding game that is the first recipient of the TV Asahi group’s blockchain gaming incubator.
This news is made prior to TV Asahi Group’s planned participation as a participant in the TEAMZ WEB3/AAI SUMMIT 2024, which is set for April 13–14. During the summit, the business intends to provide additional information about its blockchain gaming endeavor.
